Kids Eat Free Summer Project
Serving St. Charles Apartment Complex

What is Kids Eat free?
Kids Eat Free summer ministry was a fantastic success.  To all who volunteered, we served a total of 5,250 lunches, averaged 3 adult volunteers per day plus children with a total of 360 hours served over the summer. Thank you for making this such a successful ministry!!

There are several local ministries looking for volunteers to work on various projects, such as: Habitat for Humanity, Hearts for Homes, etc. if you or your small group are looking for a project, email Mike Farney

Career Transition Workshop
Be a part of the exciting Career Support Network team at CBC. This ministry has been serving the community in North Texas by providing a free training workshop for those out of work or in career transition. Seven seminars a year, held on Saturday.

Serving opportunities include advance setup, preparing notebooks and other class material, greeting, registering, serving continental breakfast  and lunch. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, contact Gary Hiatt.

Spring Super Star Angel Tree

The Angel Tree is complete. Any outstanding gifts can be delivered to the church office.

This year are Angel Tree is supporting the  ministries at St. Charles apartments, Delay Break after school program, and McFadden Ranch.  The purpose of this tree allows ministry leaders to continue building relationships during the summer months. Special thank you to everyone that contributed to this project.

 

Youth Prison Ministry Support

The Texas Youth Commission McFadden Ranch believes that through volunteering, the community has the ability to enhance the life of a youth.  Mentoring is just one of three areas that is most promising in helping youth sustain success when they return to their home communities.  You can be part of putting those pieces back together by becoming a mentor.  For information on becoming a mentor contact John Bere.

St. Charles Ministry
Crossroads Bible Church sponsors an after school Bible club at St. Charles apartment complex in Lewisville. Members of CBC host a Bible study for the children on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00pm. Other ministry activities include an annual BBQ and bounce house picnic for all residents and a yearly Christmas party for the children.

Delay Break Program
Crossroads Bible Church participates in an after school ministry for mid-school students  from Delay Middle School. Currently, there are approximately 90 students attending this outreach program  which is hosted at Lewisville Bible Church every Thursday from 3:45 - 5:30.

Volunteers and servants are desperately needed (high school age and older) to assist in this ministry.

Habitat for Humanity
Teams of men and women volunteer to work on various Habitat for Humanity projects in Denton County.

Add your name to the list of volunteers and as projects come up an email is sent to the group. Projects vary in nature from landscaping to demolition.

Operation Hotel Clean Sweep
Collect the complimentary soaps, shampoos, conditioners, etc. from hotels. Donate these (unopened) items at the CBC ministry center in the main lobby. These items are donated to  homeless shelters, abuse shelters, pregnancy centers and similar ministries that CBC is involved with.

Prison Ministries
Crossroads   prison ministries serve incarcerated individuals in Denton county.
Volunteers to teach and minister to these incarcerated individuals are needed.

Senior Church Service Ministries
Crossroads Bible Church has teams that do Sunday church services at local senior centers.

Rambling Oaks in Highland Village on the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month, Pinewood Retirement Center and Autumn Leaves in Flower Mound every Sunday. 

Interested in serving on a worship team as a vocalist, guitarist, etc? A piano player would be a great addition to the team. Contact Mike Farney.
