Steve Hixon,
Teaching Pastor
Areas of Ministry:
Teaching pastor – preaching
regularly and overseeing the preaching team, as well as coordinating
Sunday services with the worship ministry. Teaching adult classes
throughout the year, discipling groups of men, writing Biblical
studies materials (www.HixonStudies.com), serving on the pastoral
staff and as an elder at Crossroads.
Biography:
Steve recently joined the
Crossroads staff in October of 2007. He grew up in Indiana, attended
SMU in Dallas, Texas and St. Andrews, Scotland (philosophy, history,
fine arts) and later Dallas Seminary (historical theology),
graduating with a Th.M. in 1980. He has served several churches in
the Dallas area and in Colorado. Steve and his wife Darlene have
three children: Marion, David & Rebecca. Aside from ministry, Steve
enjoys photography (see his web site: www.stevehixon.com), reading,
hiking, golf and travel.

Randy Shuffield, Executive
Pastor 
Areas of Ministry:
Serving as Executive Pastor, Randy is responsible for ministry
oversight and management at CBC.
Biography:
Randy and his wife, Janice, have been members of CBC since 1987, and
have both served in various ministries over the years. Randy has
also served on the Board of Elders since 1988. A graduate of Texas
Tech University, Randy had a career in advertising-marketing prior
to assuming the position at CBC. He was the Senior Vice-President
of Advertising for Minyard Food Stores, Inc.
He is a past president of the Lewisville Noon Rotary Club, and a
Paul Harris Fellow. His outside interests include golf, basketball,
music, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and trips to Colorado. Randy and
Janice have been married since 1975. Janice is a business teacher
at Marcus High School in Flower Mound and currently serves in the
Children’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry at CBC.
Their family includes son-in-law and daughter Tommy and Tara and son and daughter-in-law Brad and Marissa, of Ft. Worth, and Macie the cat-dog.

Mike Messerli, Lead
Pastor
Areas of Ministry:
Shepherding & Pastoral Care. Oversight and development of our
Minichurches (Small Groups), and other affinity based small groups
such as our motorcycle fellowship (CBCRiders), CBC G-Team (Golf
Team), etc. Oversight of pastoral care, counseling and shepherding
ministries including lay counseling and lay chaplain ministries.
Biography:
Mike joined the staff at Crossroads in June of 1998. Prior to coming
on staff he was in business for 18 years and in the pastorate for 12
years before that. Mike also taught at a Bible College for several
years during his pastoral years. He is a graduate of John Brown
University with a degree in Biblical Studies. Mike and his wife,
Joye, have been married since 1974. They have two grown children,
three granddaughters and a grandson.

Bill
Lee,
Pastor
– Family Ministries

Areas of Ministry:
Family Ministries - Oversight and development of Family centered
programs and education opportunities.
Working with Men’s, Young Adult and Women’s ministry teams, Bill
oversees the development of programs and education opportunities
designed to meet the needs of our families. Additionally, Bill works
with our Deacon Board in maintaining and managing the Crossroads
facilities.
Biography:
A member of CBC since 1990, Bill served on the Elder Board for nine
years prior to coming on staff. He has a degree in Biblical Studies
from Mid-South Bible College and served two years in the pastorate
after graduation. Bill also spent 26 years working for a major
consumer products company in a variety of managerial and engineering
roles prior to joining the CBC Staff.
Bill and Jeanette were married
in 1971 and have two sons, Nathan and Zachary. Both sons are
married and between them have 5 children of their own.

Brent McKinney,
Pastor of
Student Ministries
Areas of
Ministry:
Oversight, development, and implementation of programming and
teaching for Middle School, High School and College ministries at
CBC. Training and oversight for student ministry interns and the
operation of the Road’s Coffee House.
5 O’clock Worship: Heads the creative team that designs and
implements the evening worship services and educational
opportunities.
Biography:
Brent has served at Crossroads since August, 1996 as our Pastor of
Student Ministries. In March of 2007 he began his current position.
He has a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from Dallas
Theological Seminary. He completed his undergraduate work at Auburn
University. Prior to his ministry at CBC, he worked with Youth for
Christ in Birmingham, Alabama for seven years.
Brent and his wife, Tracy, have been married since 1988. They have
two children, Kelsey and Shelby. Tracy is a photographer and Brent
has been in ministry since they were married. You can check my blog

Mike
Farney,
Director of Community Ministries
Areas of
Ministry:
Responsibilities include community
ministries and benevolence.
Biography
Prior to joining the staff at Crossroads, Mike worked for Lacerte
Software Corporation which relocated their headquarters to the North
Dallas area in 1989. Mike's positions included sales, marketing,
software development, manager of the customer support division and
manager of the quality assurance division when he left the firm in
June of 2002.
Mike became a staff member at CBC in 2003
Mike was raised in Long Beach, California and graduated from
California State University Long Beach with majors in marketing and
management. Mike and his wife Dee married in 1986 and have one adult
child Courtney.

Liz
Church,
Director of Women’s Ministry
Areas of Ministry:
Ministry to Women in all ages and stages of life. Oversees Women’s
Studies, Mops, Owls, Shepherding Moms, Annual Retreat, and other
special events and women’s groups.
Biography:
Liz has attended CBC since 1992 and served for years as a volunteer
in a variety of areas. She joined the staff as Director of Women’s
Ministry in April, 2005. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in
Biology and a Master of Business Administration from Oral Roberts
University. Prior to moving to Texas, Liz work in medical research
and later as an investment banker. Liz and her husband Bruce married
in 1982 and have 2 adult children, Kim and Matt.

Melissa Rowe,
Director of Children’s Ministries
Areas of Ministry
Sunday School, Half-Time, Vacation Bible School, Music Camp, All
Stars, Five O’clock Worship Planning Team
Biography
Melissa joined the staff at Crossroads in June of 1999. Prior to
that she taught 3rd and 5th grades in the
Lewisville Independent School District while attending CBC and
volunteering in Children’s Ministries. She is a graduate of the
University of North Texas with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies
and a minor in Elementary Education.
Melissa and
her husband, Matt, have one daughter, Alexis. In her spare time,
Melissa enjoys reading, running and watching Alexis play volleyball.

Tish Kelley, Director of Childcare Ministries
Areas of Ministry
Tish oversees Childcare Ministries serving parents of children from
newborn through toddlers on Sundays and through 5th grade
for week day and week night ministry activities. She recruits
trains, schedules and places teachers and mid-management teams. She
develops and oversees curriculum and activities for all classes. She
is responsible for implementing policies and procedures that make
the church a safe, healthy, and loving environment for children.
Biography:
Tish has served at Crossroads since 1999 and has been the Director
of Childcare Ministries since 2003. Prior to serving at Crossroads,
Tish was in the dental field.
Tish grew up in Colorado and has lived in Texas for more than 20
years. She has three daughters, Michelle, April and Hannah and
three grandsons.

Kimberly Kerr,
Office Manager
Areas of Ministry
Kim is the office manager and Controller, responsible for the
financial aspects of CBC.
Biography:
Kim
has attended CBC since 1992 when she moved to Texas and joined the
staff in Jan 1997. Prior to joining the staff at CBC she worked in
accounting for an investment firm in Dallas for several years. Prior
to that she was an advertising sales representative for “D” Magazine
and advertising director of Travelhost magazine. She was born &
raised in Ooltewah, Tennessee and is a graduate of the University of
the South (Sewanee).
