The focus of Practice Together groups is character growth through the practice of spiritual disciplines. While these groups will include Bible study (one of the spiritual disciplines), participants are also encouraged to pursue other disciplines as well.
Paul encourages us to train ourselves for godliness the way an athlete trains to win. (1 Tim 4:7-8; 1 Cor 9:24-27; 2 Tim 3:16-17). In healthy spiritual development, knowledge of God will grow into action. Disciplines that aid in this process incorporate heart, body, and senses.
Practice Together groups require a high level of commitment to attendance. This doesn’t mean that you can never miss group, but if you know that you will miss more than two weeks in any semester, we ask that you wait for another future time to join a group. Admittance into a group happens through a face-to-face conversation to make sure that you understand the intent of the group, the Bible study to be completed and the commitment level.
